Frequently Asked Questions
- My photos don't appear: Go to iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Photos > Remin and enable photo access permission.
- Analysis takes too long: Processing time varies depending on the number of photos (hundreds to thousands), iCloud download status, and device performance.
- It seems stuck in background: Reopen the app to check progress. iOS may limit background processing depending on system conditions.
- Where are the Apple Watch features?: Install Remin on your watch from the Watch app on iPhone. Keeping a moment, voice memos and place shortcuts all sync to the iPhone the next time both are nearby.
- A place shortcut shows nothing: Check that the address you registered is reachable over HTTPS and that the page still contains the code. If a fetch fails, Remin keeps showing the last code it read successfully.
- No travel story is offered: AI stories need a device that supports Apple Intelligence, with it enabled in iOS Settings. Everything else in Remin works without it.
- Does Remin turn voice memos into text?: No. A memo is kept as audio you can play back, and the note beside it is yours to write. Nothing is sent anywhere to be transcribed.
- Video generation failed or looks wrong: Long clips are trimmed to about five seconds each for pacing. If a render fails, try again with fewer photos; rendering is done on-device and needs free storage.

Privacy
Remin analyses your photos on your device and never uploads them. The one exception to network silence is a place shortcut you register yourself, which your iPhone fetches to read its code — no photo, location or analysis data is included. For details, see our
Privacy Policy.
